Objective:Tooth carving training is one of the core practical courses in oral medicine internship teaching.Based on the basic courses of oral anatomy and physiology,practical teaching of tooth carving is carried out to deepen the understanding and recognition of tooth physiological morphology,laying a good foundation for subsequent professional courses.Methods:Based on the teaching and reform situation of dental carving training both domestically and internationally,the School of Stomatology continuously develops and deepens the teaching of dental carving training,especially optimizing the teaching content of gypsum dental carving,integrating teaching methods,innovating teaching modes,improving the pre-preparation of dental carving training,combining multiple carving methods for dental carving training,and improving the teaching mode of dental carving training,conducting pre-practice courses(second semester)to improve dental carving training through early contact and deep memory.Results:The optimized practical teaching of tooth carving can fully mobilize students'interest in learning,establish the three-dimensional concept of teeth in their minds,and preliminarily familiarize themselves with the"addition and subtraction"of digital tooth carving.Conclusion:The teaching and reform of tooth carving in college of dental medicine lays a solid foundation for cultivating comprehensive talents with good early practice skills,comprehensive thinking ability and aesthetic quality,and provides a reference for tooth carving training courses in various college of dental medicine.
