Temporomandibular disorders is a common oral disease involving temporomandibular joint and its surrounding muscle tissue.According to DC/TMD classification and diagnostic criteria, clinical diagnosis of temporomandibular joint disorders is divided into two categories, including painful diseases and joint diseases.Due to the uncertainty and complexity of its etiology and symptoms, clinical treatment methods are also diverse, such as manual reduction treatment for removable articular disc, physical therapy, articularcavity injection therapy, occlusal splint treatment and surgical treatment, etc.Recently, the combination treatment of multiple methods has also achieved significant clinical efficacy.Through a comprehensive analysis of the literature on the treatment of TMD with occlusal splint and other methods in recent years,it is found that multiple methods can be selected to combine TMD according to different age stages, condylar bone, articular disk morphology, etc.,so as to relieve the symptoms of patients more efficiently and provide certain reference for clinical practice.
