Cultural Linguistics and the Promotion and Popularization of National Common Language and Writing
This article summarizes the significance and characteristics of cultural linguistics in exploring the cultural attributes of Chinese language from the 1980s to the 1990s.It summarizes the historical process of the modernization of Chinese language in China over the past century,including the formulation and imple-mentation of the"Chinese Pinyin Scheme",Promotion and popularization of Mandarin,the standardization of Chinese characters,and.It also discusses the concern and layout of the Party and the state in promoting the national common language and writing system since the 18th CPC National Congress.This enables us to have a deeper understanding of cultural theory,understand the significance that"Chinese characters are the root and maintenance of Chinese culture"and that"a stronger country needs better language,the better lan-guage to help a stronger country".We should also consciously do a good job in promoting and popularizing National Common Language and Writing,and cultivate more linguistic talents that meet the needs of the country.
