An Experimental Study on the Uyghur Language Major Student's Learning of Uyghur Language Wowels
Based on Sound Pattern theory,transfer theory and interlanguage theory,the paper shows the first formant(F1)and second formant(F2)data of Uyghur language wovels pronanced by students majored in Uyghur language by using the sound analyzing software Praat6.0,and the corresponding formant charts.The sound patterns of Uyghur language and Chinese,the formant charts of Uyghur native speakers and the stu-dents majored in Uyghur language are observed and compared respectively.The effect of Chinese vowels on the students majored in Uyghur language learning Uyghur language vowels are analyzed through comparing the sound patterns and the formant charts.Finally,it concludes that Chinese vowels effects on learning Uy-ghur language vowels are mainly reflected in two aspects that are the effect of Chinese sound patterns and the effect of Chinese phone's pronunciation type.This paper offers some teaching strategies to help the stu-dents majored in Uyghur language to understand the differences between those two languages in the sound patterns and prononciation types of Chinese and Uyghur language,so as to improve Uyghur Language learn-ing outcomes by adjusting their prononciation type.
