The Exploitation of Du Fu's Miscellaneous Poems—The Twenty Miscellaneous Poems of Qinzhouas an Example
Miscellaneous poems emerged during the Jian'an period and,when examined in terms of those entitled miscellaneous po-ems,flourished in the Western Jin Dynasty,declined in the Northern and Southern Dynasties,and then reemerged in the Tang Dynasty,where they underwent an important transformation.Du Fu's"Twenty Miscellaneous Poems from Qinzhou"changed the tendency of miscellaneous poetry to focus on personal sentiment and turned to social reality.He made the people and their lives the aesthetic object of miscellaneous poems,broadening their scope of expression;he gave voice to the people from the standpoint of the common people and improved the thoughtfulness of miscellaneous poems.This is of great significance to the development of miscellaneous poetry;his miscellaneous poems shift from lyricism to realism,and the artistic techniques of poetry also change,reflecting the adaptability of the art form of miscellaneous poetry.It enriched the means of expression of miscellaneous poems and even poetry,and influenced the develop-ment of poetry in later times.
