A Case Study on Piano Teaching of Kai Kai,a Child with Autism
Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD)is mainly characterized by varying degrees of social interaction impairments,communi-cation impairments and restricted interests.Studies have shown that music-based intervention may help overcome these challenges. However, there is little research on the effects of Musical Instruments on children with autism. This paper aims to explore a piano teaching method suitable for children with autism, setting up the teaching plan and teaching objectives which is suitable for children's characteristics, and combine traditional teaching methods with Applied Behavioral Analysis(ABA)in piano teaching. The research results show that piano learning can help children with autism improve their communication, emotional and social interactions.
