Mechanical properties and deformation damage characteristics of bauxite under true triaxial stresses
During the mining process of bauxite underground engineering, the rock body is in a complex three-way unequal stress state, and the existence of the medium principal stress has an important influ-ence on the mechanical strength characteristics and deformation damage characteristics of the rock body.In order to study the mechanical properties and deformation damage characteristics of bauxite rocks under the true triaxial stress state, true triaxial compression experiments were carried out on bauxite rocks under different stress conditions based on the true triaxial testing machine, and the effects of different stress conditions on the crack emergence and expansion and rupture mode of rocks were analyzed. The study showed that:with the increase of medium principal stress, the peak strength of the rock was significantly strengthened, and the brittleness characteristics become more obvious, the damage mode changed with the increase of medium principal stress, and the shear damage cracks were extended from the sedimentary lamination surface to the medium principal stress surface, and at the same time, there was an inducing effect of the primary fracture holes on the damage mode, and the cracks were mostly extend-ed along the primary fracture through the fracture. The research enhanced the understanding of the me-chanical properties of bauxite rocks and provided theoretical basis for the safety of coal-aluminum co-mining engineering.
