Ethical Challenges in Servicing Elderly People with Intelligent Caring Robots
The breakthrough and high-speed development of AI technology have provided a new approach to the elderly care problem. However, the ethics problems involved cannot be ignored. This paper divides and analyses the ethical concerns into the following two aspects: dignity-related and justice. The conclusion is that only through integrating the multi-source massive power from government, social organization, AI practitioners etc., and through considering multi-view from policies making, resources allocation, professional actions regulation etc., can the caring robots be accepted and intelligent elderly caring really play its positive role in serving human society.
