Abstract
The emergence of living artworks through biotechnology has raised a range of unprecedented ethical concerns.Within an institutional framework,bioethics typically focuses on formulating and implementing ethical standards and ensuring the moral treatment of living materials in the context of technology and science.On the other hand,art ethics primarily considers how moral values impact artistic values.By integrating these two fields,we can effectively incorporate biotechnology and bio-art into the realm of bio-art ethics,merging it with practical applications in bio-art.The study of bio-art ethics aims to deepen our understanding of artistic issues within this field,encourage public discourse on ethical matters related to bio-art,and provide fresh impetus for advancements in bioethics,biotechnology evaluation,and appreciation for bio-art.Furthermore,the emotional aspects and inherent ethical characteristics found in living artworks will further stimulate public engagement towards adjusting or promoting developments in aesthetics and ethics.
