Research on Important Talent Centers and Innovation Highlands in the World Digital Economy
The global wave of digitalization is on the rise,and building an important talent center and innovation high-land for the world digital economy is a strong support for China to build a new national competitive advantage.In order to ex-amine the trajectory of China's digital economy growth and provide clarity on its strategic development direction,this article establishes an evaluation index system focusing on essential talent hubs and innovation centers within the global digital econ-omy.The assessment encompasses four critical dimensions:digital infrastructure,innovation driven by technology,digital market trade dynamics,and governance effectiveness in the digital sphere.The evaluation evaluates the development level of the digital economy in 30 major economies worldwide from 2012 to 2021,and uses Gini coefficient and kernel density to measure the differences and distribution dynamics of global digital economy development.The findings suggest that there is a noticeable disparity in the development of the global digital economy,with widening gaps between countries.The development level of China's digital economy is steadily improving,and the gap with developed countries is constantly nar-rowing.However,it still faces challenges such as insufficient coverage of digital infrastructure,constraints on key core tech-nologies,high barriers to digital trade,and insufficient legislative coordination.In order to advance China's rapid establish-ment as a key talent hub and innovation hotspot in the global digital economy,it is advised that China persist in advancing digital infrastructure development,boosting digital innovation capacities,broadening the digital trade market,and refining the governance system of the digital economy.
