Based on the impacts of the digital economy on the high-quality development of the industrial chain in terms of innovation,coordination,greenness,openness,and sharing,a comprehensive evaluation index system for the high-quality development of the industrial chain is constructed.Using provincial panel data from 2011 to 2021,this study explores the underlying mechanisms of how the digital economy empowers the high-quality development of the industrial chain,with a particular focus on analyzing its spatial spillover effects.The results indicate that the development of the digital economy significantly promotes the improvement of the high-quality development level of the industrial chain.Both the digital economy and the high-quality development of the industrial chain exhibit significant spatial clustering,with the digital economy showing significant positive spatial spillover effects.Heterogeneous analysis results suggest that the impact of the digital economy on the innovation,coordination,and sharing development of the industrial chain is more pronounced,especially in the southern region compared to the northern region.
