Analysis of the Gender Dividend Effect on the Income of Floating Population Families
The labor supply of female migrant population has a positive effect on increasing individual and household per capita income,as well as supporting economic growth.Based on the 2017 China Mobile Population Dynamic Monitoring(CMDS)microdata,this study investigates the gender dividend effect of household income among mobile population.The research results indicate that increasing non-agricultural employment for the floating population can lead to gender dividends in households.The family gender dividend is also an important source of demographic dividend,which can effectively alleviate the challenges brought by the weakening of demographic dividend to the modernization development,thus inferring the importance of developing gender dividend to promote Chinese path to modernization.
