We aim to explore the impact of introducing artificial intelligence(AI)performance evaluators on organizations. From the perspective of attribution theory, this study conducts an in-depth analysis of the potential effects of the AI performance evaluator's image on candidates'perceptions of fairness and their willingness to dedicate themselves to work.By recruiting 150 participants through the Credamo platform and conducting an experiment, followed by a correlation analysis of the results, the study finds that the introduction of AI performance evaluators significantly reduces candidates'perceptions of distributive and procedural fairness, thereby diminishing their willingness to contribute to work.We provide new theoretical interpretations and practical insights for the application of artificial intelligence in the field of performance evaluation.
