Science and democracy are the two pillars of modernity. But the relationship between science and democracy is not independent, but mutual influence.Science can either reject democracy or support it,and democracy is good for science. The premise of democracy is to recognize that there are differences between people, and if people are homogenous and undifferentiated, then there is no room for and no need for democracy. Thus,if science holds a homogenous and deterministic worldview,it will reject democracy; If science takes a heterogeneous and uncertain worldview, science will support democracy.Faith and science are the two factors that most influence human behavior.Support for or opposition to democracy can come from either science or faith,or both.Democracy, backed by both science and faith,is rock-solid;Democracy must be supported by at least one element of science or faith;Democracy cannot be built with-out the support of either science or faith.
