The ever-growing emphasis on the application of digital technology in health services for older adults has positioned it as a central theme of research.This article,set against the backdrop of China's aging population,delves into the application,challenges,and innovative trajectories of digital technology within the sphere of elderly health services.It provides a retrospective examination of the changing roles of the elderly in digital health services since the early 21st century,underscoring the marginalized status of the elderly within the digital society.The paper subsequently concentrates on the principal challenges encountered by the elderly in their utilization of digital technology,addressing concerns such as technolog-ical accessibility,user adaptability,and ethical and privacy considerations.The article suggests strategies designed to enhance the digital literacy and social participation of the elderly,presenting comprehen-sive insights from both theoretical and practical standpoints to guide the digital transformation of health services for older adults.
