Government Funding,Industry-University-Research Coupling Coordination and Regional Innovation Performance:An Empirical Test Based on Yangtze River Economic Zone
Based on the panel data of 11 provinces in the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2010 to 2020,this paper which uses the composite system coordination degree model to measure the coupling coordination degree of industry-university-research in each province in the Yangtze River Economic Belt adopts the mediating effect model to systematically study the relationship between government funding, the coupling coordination degree of industry-university-research and regional innovation performance. The results of the research show that most provinces in the Yangtze River Economic Belt are in low or moderate coupling and coordination development, indicating that most provinces and cities are in the initial stage of university-industry-research collaboration and innovation, but the degree of university-industry-research coupling and coordination in each province basically shows an increasing trend year by year.Secondly, the effect of government subsidy on regional innovation performance is significant and different in different innovation stages, among which the effect of government subsidy on technology absorption performance is the most significant.Besides,in the path of the impact of government funding on regional innovation performance, the coordination degree of industry-university-research coupling plays a significant mediating role in which it plays a partial mediating role in the stage of technology development and absorption, while it has a complete mediating role in the technology transformation stage. Finally, based on the conclusion of the study, some suggestions are put forward.
