Technological Innovation,Foreign Direct Investment, and Green Development
Based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2011 to 2020,the spatial durbin model and panel threshold model are used to examine the relationship between technological innovation, foreign direct investment and green development. The results show that:firstly, technological innovation promotes green development and has a positive spatial spillover effect, while foreign direct investment hinders green development and has a negative spatial spillover effect, which is still true after the robustness test;Secondly, heterogeneity analysis found that there is regional heterogeneity in the impact of technological innovation and foreign direct investment on green development;Thirdly, there is a U-shaped relationship between technological innovation and green development. When the level of economic development is used as the threshold variable, technological innovation and foreign direct investment have a significant threshold effect on green development. The above research has improved the research on the influencing factors of green development, providing empirical reference for fully leveraging the positive spatial spillover effect of technological innovation and avoiding the negative spatial spillover effect of foreign direct investment to promote green development.
