A Review of Research on Paradox Theory and Prospects
How paradoxes are managed in increasingly complex and ambiguous environments has become an important factor affecting business performance.In order to track the recent advances in paradox theory,the study reviews the important literature published in strategic management,organizational management,and other related fields from 1988-2022.First,it defines the connotation of paradox,distinguishes between paradox,dilemma and dialectic,and introduces the nature and types of paradox;second,it clarifies the analytical framework of paradox theory and its core logic,and based on this,it introduces the management strategy of paradox and its influencing factors;finally,it presents the outlook of future research in view of the shortcomings of existing research on paradox theory.
