Objective To explore the application value of evaluating nursing risk and implementing predictive nursing in clinical nursing of elderly orthopedic patients, and observe the nursing effect. Methods A total of 169 elderly patients admitted to the Department of Orthopedics of our hospital from January 2021 to January 2022 were randomly numbered and divided into two groups. The control group (84 cases included) received routine nursing in their clinical nursing, and the study group (85 cases included) received predictive nursing in their clinical nursing. The nursing effect was analyzed. The incidence of risk events, nutritional indicators and nursing satisfaction were compared. Results Compared between the two groups, the incidence of risk events in the study group was lower (P<0.05), the difference was statistically significant. Albumin level, total protein and lymphocyte count were higher in the study group (P<0.05), and the differences were statistically significant. The nursing satisfaction of the study group was higher (P<0.05), and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion Predictive nursing in clinical nursing of elderly orthopedic patients can reduce the incidence of risk events, improve the level of nutrition, and promote their early recovery.
