Objective To explore the application value of traditional Chinese medicine nursing in cough variant asthma (CVA). Methods 68 cases of CVA patients admitted to our hospital from April 2020 to April 2022 were divided into group A (n=34, conventional nursing intervention) and group B (n=34, traditional Chinese medicine nursing intervention) by computer randomized method, and then the nursing effects (symptoms disappearance and length of stay, TCM syndrome score, Dmin-airway response threshold and PEF- maximum expiratory flow index). Results Compared with group A, the duration of clinical symptom disappearance and hospital stay in group B were shorter, the scores of TCM syndromes were lower, and the levels of nursing satisfaction, comfort scores, Dmin and PEF indexes were higher, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion The clinical application of traditional Chinese medicine nursing can improve the level of lung function in patients with CVA, improve the threshold of airway response and comfort level, and finally accelerate the disappearance of CVA symptoms and the speed of recovery of patients, and also promote the recognition of clinical nursing of patients.
