Application of bedside lung ultrasound in ICU patients with pneumonia
Objective This study was mainly aimed at pneumonia patients in ICU. Bedside ultrasound was used to examine and evaluate the patients and determine the correlation between pneumonia and chest CT. Methods In this study, 20 patients admitted to ICU of our hospital from January 2022 to May 2022 were selected. In order to observe the results of bedside ultrasound, chest CT was used for comparative study. First, 20 patients in ICU were selected in a randomized double-blind way and examined with chest CT. Residents with less than 5 years of life were selected as the X group of this study, and the patients were examined and interpreted without knowing the CT results. Then, the patients were examined and diagnosed by physicians with experience in lung ultrasound using bedside lung ultrasound, and they were selected as group Y of this study. In the process of examination and diagnosis of patients using different methods, the sensitivity, specificity and severity of patients in the process of diagnosis of pneumonia were recorded and compared between the two groups. Pulmonary parenchyma, subpleural lesions and pleural effusion were compared according to the examination results of patients. Results After the examination and diagnosis of selected patients by the above methods, it was found that the imaging effect presented by bedside ultrasound for the examination of pneumonia patients in ICU was more conducive to the judgment of junior residents. There were statistically significant differences in the number of subpleural lesions and pleural changes between the two examination methods (P<0.05). In addition, during the examination of patients by bedside lung ultrasound, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of patients in this group were all higher than those of patients in group Y, and there was a statistically significant difference in the final study results between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion Compared with chest CT, bedside ultrasound has good correlation with pneumonia patients, and can be used as an important supplementary means for the diagnosis and treatment of pneumonia in ICU. At the same time, because of the repeatability, convenience and operability of ultrasound, it is worth to popularize and use in ICU ward of hospital.
