Objective To observe the effect of McKenzie therapy on neck pain in college students, to explore whether McKenzie therapy can be used as a simple method to relieve neck pain and prevent cervical spondylosis in college students, popularize the knowledge of McKenzie therapy to relieve neck pain and prevent cervical spondylosis, so as to achieve the purpose of prevention and treatment of cervical spondylosis in college students. Methods Fifty-five students from rehabilitation Class 2101 and examination Class 2101 of Zhaotong Health Vocational College were selected as subjects and randomly divided into experimental group and control group. The experimental group received neck training with McKenzie therapy for 3 months, while the control group did not do intervention. The Visual Analogue Scale was used to evaluate the pain degree of the experimental group and the control group before and after 3 months of training, and the effects were compared. Results After 3 months of neck training, VAS score of control group was higher than that of experimental group, and the difference between groups was statistically significant (P<0.01). Conclusion After neck training for a period of time, the degree of neck pain relief is more obvious than control group. McKenzie therapy neck training has a positive effect on relieving neck pain and preventing cervical spondylosis in college students. McKenzie therapy neck training can be promoted to college students as a simple way to relieve neck pain.
