Objective To explore the efficacy of cefazoloxime sodium combined with Ornidazole injection in the treatment of chronic appendicitis. Methods From May 2020 to May 2022, 92 patients diagnosed with chronic appendicitis were randomly selected for analysis. According to the order of admission time, 46 patients in each group were grouped into standardized treatment. Patients in the control group were given single ornidazole injection treatment. The observation group was treated with cefazoxime sodium combined with ornidazole injection. The therapeutic intervention effect, symptom disappearance time, improvement time, occurrence of adverse reactions and recurrence rate were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment intervention, there was a significant difference between the two groups, the observation group was much higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the disappearance time of abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, general fatigue, dyspepsia and other related symptoms in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, and the improvement time of each symptom was statistically significant (P<0.05). The statistical results showed that there were significant differences in the incidence and recurrence rate of druginduced adverse reactions between the two groups. Compared with the control group, the observation group was lower, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion In the treatment and intervention of patients with chronic appendicitis, the combination of cefazoxime sodium and ornidazole injection has a more obvious effect than the single Ornidazole injection, which can effectively improve the relevant symptoms of patients, with less risk of adverse reactions, high safety, not easy to relapse, and has a positive promoting effect on the recovery of patients'' disease.
