Objective to analyze the clinical effect of omeprazole on stress ulcer bleeding after oral and maxillofacial surgery. Methods The subjects were 96 patients with stress ulcer bleeding after oral and maxillofacial surgery admitted by our department. The admission time of the patients was from January 2020 to June 2021. The patients were divided into two parallel groups, namely, the observation group and the control group. There were 48 subjects in each group. In terms of treatment plan, omeprazole combined with cimetidine and cimetidine alone were used in the two groups. Results The total effective rate, the improvement of gastric acid, gastrin, somatostatin and other indicators as well as various treatment indicators of the two study groups were observed under different treatment schemes. The observation group showed significant advantages over the control group, and the differences of various observation indicators between groups were statistically significant (P<0.05). In terms of adverse drug reactions, there was no statistically significant difference between the two study groups (P>0.05). Conclusion For the treatment of patients with stress ulcer bleeding after oral and maxillofacial surgery, omeprazole can play a significant role. It not only has a higher total effective rate of treatment, but also can effectively improve the levels of gastric acid, gastrin and somatostatin in patients, shorten the treatment time, and will not increase the adverse reactions of patients, with good safety.
