Investigation of sleep quality in patients with chronic kidney disease and analysis of influencing factors
Objective To investigate the sleep quality of patients with chronic kidney disease and analyze the influencing factors of sleep quality. Methods The study lasted from January 2019 to June 2022. A total of 220 patients were included in the study, all of whom were patients with chronic kidney disease. After inclusion, the sleep quality and health status scales were measured for the patients, and the influencing factors of sleep quality in patients with chronic kidney disease were analyzed by univariate and multivariate Logistic regression equations. Results The Pittsburgh sleep quality PSQI Index scale was analyzed. The results showed that the total PSQI score of 220 patients with chronic kidney disease was (61.41±11.43) points, including 91 patients with no sleep disorder (PSQI score ≤5 points) and 129 patients with sleep disorder (PSQI score >5 points). Age, smoking history and cystatin C (CysC) level of patients with sleep disorders were generally higher than those without sleep disorders. Glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) level and health visualization (VAS) score were lower than those of patients without sleep disorder, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). In multivariate Logistic regression analysis, age was an independent risk factor for sleep disorders and VAS score was a protective factor for sleep disorders. Conclusion The sleep quality of patients with chronic kidney disease is generally poor, and the health status is also affected by the sleep quality. Age and visual VAS score of health status are factors affecting the sleep quality of patients with chronic kidney disease.
