Computer technology is a comprehensive concept,and computer vision technology is its main component and is applied to the electric power system automation construction,which reflects strong practicability.This paper focuses on the principle of computer vision technology,reviews its history,analyzes and demonstrates the applicable technology types,application strategies and future development of computer vision technology in the electric power system automation construction at the macro-and micro-level,aiming to promote the organic combination of computer vision technology and electric power system automation construction,and promote the development of electric power industry.
