This paper introduces the advantages and functions of GIS and RS technology in detail.GIS and RS technology is applied to the arable land protection informatization construction through professional research and analysis.The construction includes building arable land protection informatization platform,clarifying arable land protection data source,standardizing the editing process of arable land protection information,remote sensing image processing design,scientifically setting up the platform data interface,and displaying the platform after the completion of informatization construction,so as to fully display the specific status of regional arable land protection and meet the basic needs of arable land quantity,quality and ecology"trinity"construction.
