This paper first explains the core connotation of building information model,the module composition and corresponding functions of engineering project management information system,then introduces the main problems in traditional engineering project management information system,analyzes the management advantages of engineering project management information system based on building information model,and accordingly further studies the building information model in whole-life-cycle integration framework of engineering project management information system,aiming at continuously and deeply improving the engineering project management information system based on building information model,so as to actively contribute to achieving future high-quality development of construction industry in China.
