Research on Dual Mode Control Strategy of Energy Storage System Based on Current Source and Voltage Source
A dual mode switching strategy is proposed based on current source and voltage source to address the adaptability of energy storage systems in different application scenarios such as power grid auxiliary services(frequency modulation),price difference arbitrage, and new energy generation power management. This strategy adopts voltage and phase pre-synchronization compensation based on PI and virtual impedance soft current limiting strategy to solve the overcurrent impact during grid connection. In addition, seamless switching between modes is achieved by resetting and data exchanging on the voltage control integrator.By building an energy storage microgrid model in Simulink, simulation verification is conducted on typical operating conditions such as parallel operation,off-grid operation,parallel-off-grid conversion, and multi-machine parallel connection. The verification results show that this control strategy can meet the requirements of parallel and off-grid operation, and has the ability of black start during multi-machine parallel connection. After the start is completed,it will automatically switch to parallel operation.
