A Survey of College Students'Perceptions of Diabetes-related Psychological Distress and the Factors Influencing Them
Objective To understand the diabetes-related distress cognition in college students in Guilin area and explore the influence factor of diabetes-related distress cognition,and thus to provide scientific reference for health xxx among college students.Methods A survey was conducted in four university students by cluster random sampling method sampling randomly from 3 universities in Guilin area,and self-designed diabetes-related distress cognition questionnaire was used for investigation,and the unconditional Logistic regression was used for Multivariate analysis.Results The overall awareness rate of diabetes-related distress among college students is 25.38%.Female students are more aware of diabetes-related distress than male students(OR=2.86),medical students are higher than non-medical students(OR=2.31),and higher grades are higher than lower grades students(OR=1.56),students with diabetes family history are higher than students without family history(OR=2.08),all the differences are statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion College students in Guilin area have insufficient awareness of diabetes-related distress,and universities need to strengthen their publicity to improve students'awareness of diabetes-related distress.
