As an important part of the excellent traditional Chinese culture,genealogical culture has rich educational resources and multi-level cultural connotations.Integrating genealogical culture into the ideological and political education of universities is helpful to improve the ideological and political literacy of college students,and enhance their sense of national identity and cultural self-confidence.This paper studies the connotation of genealogical culture,discusses the importance and current situation of genealogical and political education in colleges and universities,and the theoretical basis,strategy and practical exploration of the integration of genealogical culture into ideological and political theory courses,and analyzes its value and prospect in ideological and political education in colleges and universities.This study can provide a reference for promoting the innovative development of ideological and political course teaching in universities.
