By integrating on-site inspection reports and expert system theories,an expert system of semi-autogenous grinding/ball-grinding/crush processes (SABC) was constructed.The practical application of system showed effective performance in enhancing the hourly handling capacity per unit miller and reducing the consumption of steel media and energy.Furthermore,by monitoring the hard rock amount for each stage,the machine power,the grinding concentration,the axial load and the heavy plate operation,the system can prevent abnormal circumstances from occurrence,showing a significant effect on minimizing the occurrence of shutdown,overload for miller and low sediment concentration for hydrocyclone.
