Experimental Study on Beneficiation of a Low-Grade Spodumene Ore
According to the ore properties of a low-grade spodumene ore in Jiajika area of Sichuan Province, with the application of the flotation process, experimental study on mineral processing was carried out by optimizing thetechnical parameters of roughing and cleaning process. The Li2O grade of spodumene ore is 1.18%,and the gangue minerals are mainly quartz and plagioclase, followed by muscovite and scricite.Under this condition of the raw ores,CaCl2 was used as the activator of spodumene,4# modified oxidized paraffin soap was used as the collector, and Na2CO3 was added to adjust the flotation pH value, disperse the slime and eliminate the influence of molten salt ions.By adding NaOH to form a highly alkaline environment conducive to the selective adsorption of collectors on the surface of spodumene minerals,a closed-circuit flotation process of"one roughing, one scavenging and two cleaning"was adopted under the condition of grinding fineness of-0.074 mm accounting for 68.36%.The lithium concentrate with a yield of 15.76%,a Li2O grade of 6.03%and a recovery rate of 80.54%was obtained, which realized the efficient recovery of lithium resources.
