An Algorithm Research on Single-Parameter Homomorphic Filtering for Underground Coal Mine Image Enhancement
An improved homomorphic filtering algorithm suitable for underground coal mine image enhancement was proposed, aiming at the problems of large local brightness difference, low contrast and loss of feature detail information in underground coal mine images.Firstly,an improved single parameter homomorphic filtering algorithm was used to compress low frequencies and enhance high frequencies,so as to enhance image clarity. And then, the filtered image was converted into HSV space and process the luminance component V using the Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization(CLAHE)algorithm. Finally,HSV inverse transformation was performed to obtain the image in RGB space and complete the image enhancement. The simulation results show that the algorithm can effectively improve the influence of uneven illumination on the image, improve the clarity and contrast of the image, and improve the over-enhancement phenomenon of the classical homomorphic filtering on the image with large light-dark gap while retaining the detail information of the image features.
