Design of JM Mine Undercut Scheme Based on the Law of Ore Rock Caving
The design of undercut direction and undercut height in bolck caving method directly affects mine production and safety.Taking JM mine in Serbia as the engineering background, six kinds of undercut schemes were designed based on the relationship among undercut height, undercut direction and principal stress. The caving parameters of ore and rock under different undercut schemes were analyzed from four aspects of ore and rock caving amount, initial caving undercut area, continuous caving undercut area and ore and rock caving speed, and then the optimal undercut scheme was determined. The results show that the caving effect of the scheme with the undercut height of 10 m and the advancing direction perpendicular to the direction of the maximum principal stress is better. After the ore rock reaches continuous caving, the caving speed is relatively stable.Under this scheme, the initial caving undercut area of the ore rock is between 4537.5-5400 m2,the continuous caving undercut area is between 16 537.5-18 150 m2,and the continuous caving speed is 0.2599 m/d,which can meet the requirements of mine production.
