Energy Consumption Characteristics of Rock Breaking During Rotary Drilling Process
Obtaining drilling parameters for energy consumption analysis is an important means in achieving efficient drilling. In order to explore the correlation between drilling parameters and energy consumption in the process of rock breaking by rotary drilling, the influence of drilling parameters on drilling speed was explored through indoor drilling tests. The energy-time density index was proposed, and the energy consumption characteristics in the process of rotary rock breaking were analyzed by numerical simulation. The results show that the axial pressure and rotational speed of rotary drilling rock are positively correlated with drilling speed, and the energy consumption of rock breaking is linearly correlated with drilling displacement. The optimum test parameters for drilling phyllite are axial pressure of 650 N and rotational speed of 400 r/min.Based on the specific work of drilling, the formula of energy-time density of rock breaking was established. The energy-time density decreases first and then increases with the increase of axial pressure and rotational speed. When the energy-time density is concentrated at 0.0069 J/(mm3·s),the energy consumption is the lowest and the drilling efficiency is the best.
