Research on High-Quality and Low-Cost filling Process for Large Lean Iron Ore Mines
The key to the whole tailings filling mining of large lean iron ore mines is the matching degree of mining and filling capacity, concentration stability and cost control. To reduce filling costs,it is crucial to improve efficiency and reduce the cost of filling operations per ton of ore.The proposed solution introduced a filling preparation system with a capacity of 200-220 m3/h,capable of delivering slurry at both transient and sustained high flow rates. Moreover, the concentration of sand supply determines the mass concentration of filling slurry. The system was equipped with two large-volume sand silos, each with a volume of 2020 m3,enabling efficient storage, slurry preparation, and discharge to realize high concentration filling of structural flow. The mass concentration of filling slurry was maintained at about 72%.The single system can filling over 4000 m3 in a single operation and sustain continuous filling for 24 hours through recycling,so as to realize strong mining and strong filling and maintain a balance between mining and filling in mine.Furthermore, although the strength of the filling body using P·C 32.5 as cement cementitious material can meet the design strength requirements of the underground goaf, the use of new cementitious material as a cementing agent can greatly reduce the filling ratio and average dosage. This reduction translates to a cost savings of RMB20.01 per cubic meter of structure.Considering the annual volume requirements for goaf filling in the mine, adopting this new cementitious material has the potential to yield substantial savings of around RMB44.68 million per year in filling expenses.
