Research and Practice on Improving the Quality of Vanadium Titanium Iron Concentrate in the First Phase of New Baima Company
In order to improve the TFe grade of vanadium titanium iron concentrate from 53.5%to more than 55%in the first phase of New Baima Company, the main mineral process particle size analysis, grinding and separation test, field process flow inspection, final concentrate particle size and monomer dissociation degree analysis were carried out.It was found that the performance defects of the first phase cyclone equipment, the insufficient processing capacity of the second stage high-frequency fine screen, and the mismatch between the processing capacity of the second phase mill and the classification equipment were the key factors restricting the improvement of the TFe grade of the first phase vanadium titanium iron concentrate.By using FX840 flat-bottomed cyclone instead of FX610 conical cyclone to optimize the first phase grinding and classification system, the circulating load of the primary mill is increased by 5.74 percentage points, the unit volume productivity of-0.074 mm is increased from 0.37 t/(m3·h)to 0.51 t/(m3·h),the content of-0.074 mm overflow of cyclone is increased by 3.76 percentage points, and the rough running of first phase cyclone is greatly improved. The combined classification method of"cyclone+high-frequency screen"was used to transform the process flow of the second phase grinding and classification system. The circulating load of the second phase mill is increased to 439.02%,and the unit volume productivity of-0.074 mm is increased from 0.74 t/(m3·h)to 0.91 t/(m3·h).The quality efficiency of high-frequency fine screen is 3.73 times higher than that before optimization, and the content of-0.074 mm under the screen is increased by 16.22 percentage points. The content of-0.074 mm in the first phase vanadium titanium iron concentrate is successfully increased from about 60%to more than 70%.The purpose of increasing the TFe grade of vanadium titanium iron concentrate from 53.5%to more than 55%is achieved without reducing the raw ore processing capacity of the system.
