Study on Optimization of Bench Slope Angle of High Slope in Open-Pit Mine Based on Stereographic Projection Analysis
Aiming at the problem of slope safety and economic benefit balance in open-pit mines,an optimization method of bench slope angle based on stereographic projection analysis was proposed.Taking the high slope of an open-pit mine as the research object, based on the stereographic projection analysis, the slope failure modes under the combination of different bench slope angles and dominant joint fissure surfaces were studied. The slope stability under different failure modes was calculated by the limit equilibrium method, and the optimal value of the bench slope angle was obtained. The finite element strength reduction method was used to analyze the overall stability of the slope under the optimal bench slope angle. The results show that the slope has different failure modes under different bench slope angles. The optimal angle of the bench slope angle is 65°,which meets the requirements of safety standards under the three load combinations. The final slope angle of the stope obtained by the bench slope angle optimization method is 49°,which is 6° higher than the final slope angle of the current stope, and the new ore recovery is about 282 000 m3.The overall stability coefficient of the slope calculated by the finite element strength reduction method is 1.783,and the slope is in a stable state, which verifies the reliability of the optimization method.
