Breeding and Characteristics of a New Rice Variety Kenyan-1803
Kenyan-1803 is a new japonica rice variety bred by rice research institute of Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Reclamation in 2010 with Kongyu-131 as female parent and Kenjiandao-3 as male parent,through southern propagation and generation,and through pedigree method.This variety is early-maturing,multi-resistant and high-quality,and is suitable for transplanting in the third accumulated temperature zone of Heilongjiang Province.The breeding process,yield performance and characteristics of Kenyan-1803 were introduced,and the cultivation techniques were summarized from the aspects of sowing and transplanting,fertilizer and water management,pest control and chilling injury prevention,so as to provide guidance for the production and application of Kenyan-1803.
