Tiegeng-1712 is a new rice variety with high yield and good quality,which was bred by Tieling Academy of Agricultural Sciences with Tiegeng-9 as female parent and Liaoxing-1 as male parent by sexual hybridization,and the progeny materials were selected by pedigree method.It was approved by Liaoning Crop Variety Approval Committee in 2022.This variety has high yield,good quality,strong rice blast resistance,strong lodging resistance and good adaptability,and its growth period is about 158 days.It belongs to medium-maturing rice variety in Liaoning Province and is suitable for planting in medium-maturing rice area north of Shenyang.The key points of high-yield cultivation techniques of Tiegeng-1712 in seed pre-sowing treatment,sowing and transplanting,fertilizer application,water layer management,integrated prevention and control of diseases,insect pests and weeds were discussed.
