Effects of Different Nitrogen Application Rates on Yield and Milling Quality of Xindao-36
The rice variety Xindao-36 was used as the experimental material,667 m2 was treated with pure nitrogen of 0 kg,9 kg,12 kg,15 kg,18 kg,21 kg and 24 kg,respectively,to study the effects of different nitrogen application rates on rice yield and rice milling quality. The results showed that the increase of nitrogen application could prolong the seedling stage, delay the heading stage and maturity stage of rice.Effective harvest spike, average spike length, grain number per spike, plant height,1000-grain weight, yield, brown rice rate and milled rice rate all showed a trend of first increasing and then decreasing with the increase of nitrogen application. When pure nitrogen was applied to 667 m2 with 18 kg,tillering rate was the highest, effective harvest spike was the most, plant height, yield and milled rice rate were the highest. When 667 m2 was applied with 15 kg of pure nitrogen, the average spike length was the longest, the average total grain number and grain number per spike were the highest, the 1000-grain weight was the largest, and the brown rice rate was the highest.According to the comprehensive comparison of various indexes,it is suggested that the variety should apply 15-18 kg of pure nitrogen in the 667 m2 planting process, which can improve the yield while taking into account the better quality of rice milling.
