The high taste and quality hybrid japonica rice Liaoyou-858 was used to investigate the effects of harvest date on rice yield,quality,and economic benefits.The results showed that Liaoyou-858 had reached full maturity in late September when planted in the Shenyang area of Liaoning Province.The yield and economic benefits reached highest if they were harvested by the end of September.Different harvest dates had no significant impact on the rice milled rate and taste quality of the rice.This study was useful for early maturing varieties early harvesting to be on sale.
