Changchun Academy of Agricultural Sciences used Wuyoudao-1 as the female parent and Changxuan-14 as the male parent to breed a new fragrant rice variety Changle-520 with long grain type by pedigree method and multi-generation selection.The variety has the characteristics of high quality,high yield,stable yield,light frost resistance,strong adaptability,live stem maturity,fine palatability and so on,and was approved by the Jilin Provincial Crop Variety Approval Committee in 2020.The breeding process,characteristics,yield performance and cultivation techniques of Changle-520 were introduced.
