Abstract
Dictionaries play an important role in English learning. They can help learners to comprehend lexicons better, to enlarge vocabulary effectively and to get used to thinking in English, etc. Therefore, more studies should be conducted to probe into the application of dictionaries in English learning. This paper, based on the previous survey of strategies of using dictionaries in English learning, is to find and analyze problems with an eye to providing suggestions for better using dictionaries. It is hoped that English learners can bring into full play the role of dictionaries in their English learning.
