Roof Construction Techniques for Traditional Residential Buildings in Zhongzhou Ancient City District,Linqing,Shandong Province
As an important town of canals during the Ming and Qing dynasties,the construction of tra-ditional residential buildings in the Zhongzhou Ancient City District of Linqing was influenced by various factors such as north-south culture and regional environment.The roof features and construction tech-niques of the buildings are unique.This article takes the traditional residential roofs in the Zhongzhou ancient city area of Linqing as the research object,combined with field surveys and other methods,start-ing from the overall characteristics of local residential buildings,systematically elaborates on the form and structure of traditional residential roofs in the ancient city,and analyzes in detail their construction meth-ods and characteristics.It was found that the construction of traditional residential roofs in the Zhongzhou Ancient City District of Linqing embodies the cultural characteristics of the north and south and local style.Through this study,the aim is to provide valuable references for the protection and inheritance of traditional residential roof construction techniques and canal cultural heritage in the Zhongzhou ancient city area of Linqing.
