A Study of Mao Jin's Behaviors in Fu Association——on His Literary Interactions with Mao Bijiang and Qi Biaojia
Mao Jin was a famous book collector,engraver,poet,and important social activist in the late Ming and early Qing dynasty.As a disciple of Qian Qianyi and also studied with Zhou Zhikui and Wei Chong,Mao Jin had close relationship with many members of the Fu Association,especially with its lead-ers,Gu Menglin and Yang Yi.Through checking and textual research materials,we can draw some con-clusions.He attended the Jinling Conference in 1636,and once engraved books on behalf of the Fu Associa-tion's leader,Zhang Pu.Mao Jin had literary interaction with Mao Bijiang who was the gifted scholar in the Fu Association,meanwhile,he visited the suzerain of the association,Qi Biaojia,and they wrote let-ters frequently with each other.Carving books was his most eye-catching label,making him famous in the association.
