Milan Kundera's works have been studied and read in great interest in China for more than 30 years.It can be found from Chinese scholars'enthusiasm for Kundera's works that the scholars're-search direction and focus are different.In the mid-1980s,Kundera's literary and artistic creation and the themes of his novels were introduced,and he was misinterpreted politically.In the mid-1990s,the re-search shifted to existential themes and sex writing.In the early 2000s,Kundera studies flourished in Chi-na,with many outstanding achievements and scholars who published books and gave talks on Kundera.However,after the 2010s,as Kundera's creative momentum declined,Kundera studies in China cooled.This weakness has led to difficulties,but it has also prompted the scholars to seek new breakthroughs to revitalize Kundera studies.
