In A Simple Account of the Book of Changes,Chen Menglei systematically explore and expound the virtues of a ruler as the main part of governing a country through creative interpretation of the Book of Changes from three perspectives:a ruler's self-cultivation,a ruler's ethics towards officials and a ruler's morality towards populace,which not only highlights the value of classics on contributing to good governance of the country and society and meeting practical needs,shows his conception of the way of being a ruler and ideal politics,and embodies the time significance of the Spirit of Yi Learning.
