Application of radial endobronchial ultrasound bronchoscopy guided by manual navigation in the diagnosis of peripheral pulmonary lesions
Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of radial endobronchial ultrasound bronchoscopy(R-EBUS)guided by manual navigation(MN)in the diagnosis of peripheral pulmonary lesions(PPLs).Methods Patients with PPLs diagnosed by MN-R-EBUS in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University from January 2022 to May 2024 were selected as the research objects. The clinical data were retrospectively analyzed to explore the diagnostic efficiency and safety of MN-R-EBUS for PPLs.Results A total of 110 patients with PPLs were enrolled, and the lesion detection rate was 100%by hand-drawn navigation combined with radial ultrasound.A-mong them,55 patients with malignant lesions were confirmed by hand-drawn navigation combined with radial ultra-sound in 72 cases, and the diagnosis rate of malignant diseases was 76.39%.24 patients with inflammatory lesions were confirmed by hand-drawn navigation combined with radial ultrasound in 36 cases. The diagnosis rate of inflam-matory diseases was 66.67%.Two patients still have unclear lesions after follow-up.Among the 110 patients,6 pa-tients had moderate bleeding and 1 patient had pneumothorax. Conclusion Manual navigation combined with radial endobronchial ultrasound bronchoscopy has a high diagnostic rate and good safety in peripheral pulmonary lesions.
